The sport of bicycle motocross (BMX) began in the early 1970s
in southern California and since then has been sweeping the country. Central Wisconsin BMX is constructed in a natural amphitheater with a full view of each race from start to finish.  The track is 1,075 feet long and includes a start hill over 10 feet tall, a permanent awning over staging and start gate, pro gate, blacktop turns, and a sealed track surface.

The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings, are a Junior Hockey Team within the U.S. Premier Hockey League. Coach Marty Quarters believes in “building hockey up and down the river,” and the Riverkings program focuses on the development and advancement of players to the next level. Come watch the Riverkings heat up the ice at the South Wood County Recreation Center!

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters play in the Northwoods League, which is a summer collegiate baseball league comprised top players from across North America. The experience is similar to a professional minor league team, using wooden bats, minor league specification baseballs, and providing entertainment on and off the field. Enjoying a Rafters game at Witter Field will remind you why baseball is America’s favorite pastime!
