Downhill skiing and tubing aficionados can find all the thrills without all the lines at Powers Bluff winter sports area. Ski, boot, and pole rentals are readily available for a trouble-free winter adventure.

Powers Bluff, a 160 acre park located just 17 miles northwest of Wisconsin Rapids, is home to downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, tubing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. A two-story stone shelter building includes a warming house with concessions, ski, snowboard, boot, and pole rentals. Tow passes are available for purchase on site. Open seasonally, Sat and Sun from 10-4:30 p.m. Call ahead to verify holiday schedule.

Powers Bluff is home to three downhill skiing and snowboarding trails varying from 1,320 to 1,500 feet in length. The estimated vertical drop is 250 feet. The downhill trails are operated by a handle grip tow, which is an ideal system for beginners and snow boarders. Ski, boot, and pole rentals are available on site. Handle grip tow tickets are available for purchase on site.

Families will love tubing! Descend through the snow on a fast-paced tube while visiting Powers Bluff winter sports area. Four tube runs are available, with two handle grip tows that lessen your wait time during your winter adventure. Tubes are provided at no charge with the purchase of a handle grip tow ticket. No outside tubes are allowed.
